I tend to be so absorbed with my giant, burrowing Lycosa godeffroyi that I neglect the fact we have other wolf spiders here. I am not sure how many species. I concluded three at least at one stage. I'll try to take more notice. Here is a photograph from a few days ago of a wanderer with her young, out and about in full sun. She is about half the size of the Lycosa godeffroyi.

Here's a male wandering a few night's ago. He is carrying prey, and it appears to be a wolf spider. It isn't a shed skin - I watched him carry it away. There is a large burrow quite near there. It may be his, or a female. I haven't seen her for a week or so, but the burrow still looks tended, so I hope it wasn't her!
